The term namu is derived from Sanskrit and has several meaning:

Ours is a charitable association which dedicates itself to music projects, dance projects, song projects and theatrical projects for children with medical issues and socially disadavanted youth.
Theatrical play and song performances as therapeutic method
Using a mobile stage for its theatrical performance namu has carried out project "Tranquilla Trampeltreu" bringing it right directly to the children in their wards in a number of medical centres. Doctors have confirmed the therapeutic value of theatrical performances. Children who have to me admitted in a hospital are suddenly taken away from the protective familiarity of their homes and transported into the unknown world of patients. Even when the medical care is carried out with special attention to the child’s needs the process can still be unpleasant and frightening and painful to the child.
